Formare comunità, educare alla cura: il ruolo del coordinatore pedagogico per la salute e il benessere locale

Abstract

This paper aims to analyze the strategic role of second-level pedagogical professionals, with particular attention to coordination figures operating within health and social services, in line with the conceptual and operational framework proposed by the Tuscany Health Ecosystem (THE), one of the eleven innovation ecosystems funded by Italy’s National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR). Adopting a perspective that integrates theoretical reflection with educational practice, these professionals emerge as agents of systemic connection, whose function is to weave generative networks among a wide range of territorial actors—public institutions, third-sector and volunteer organizations—and the local community. By activating specialized professional knowledge along with advanced relational, planning, and organizational skills, these professionals act as facilitators of social innovation and active participation processes, which are essential prerequisites for implementing an integrated care ecosystem capable of effectively addressing the population’s health and well-being needs.
