Giovani migranti in viaggio verso l’autonomia: traiettorie biografiche e percorsi educativi. Un’indagine nella regione Sardegna.

Abstract

The paper explores the topic of leaving care of unaccompanied young migrants. These young people enter in the protection and care system coming of age; consequently, they face the transition to adult life with little time to consolidate the objectives of social integration and personal, economic and housing independence. Starting from a theoretical framework, a survey is presented which aims to identify some specificities and significant elements of autonomy paths undertaken by unaccompanied young migrants in the context of a good practice experimented in the Sardinia region. The aim of the research is to start a first and contextual evaluation of the needs, resources, motivations and aspirations at the basis of the projects of autonomy of young migrants. Then, the purpose is to develop and implement ongoing evaluation and reporting of data in progress, with the aim of improving the effectiveness of the policies, educational models and methodologies implemented, in the perspective of transferability, reproducibility and re-definition of skills and professional actions by the services and practitioners involved.
