Abstract | In the field of mental health and, specifically, in the area of psychiatric rehabilitation, specific figures with overlapping competences and activities have developed throughout history: the Professional Educator and the Psychiatric Rehabilitation Technician. The Nurse is also considered as a professional with extensive competences in this field. A conflict between these health professions can be assumed due to inadequate knowledge of each other. The diversity of vision and culture of the different professions, which enrich the intervention with the sharing of knowledge and skills, is highlighted. The importance of the university curriculum for the promotion of the students' professional identity has emerged. The introduction of opportunities of collaboration could assure the development of better awareness of the role of the other figures and a positive mediation in the future work. |
