Can the initiatives of the 'Cities of Relief' contribute to well-being education by promoting relief practices for chronic and terminal patients? The project aims to pedagogically map Italian municipalities committed to spreading the culture of relief, in compliance with Law 38/2010, which ensures support and care to reduce unnecessary pain. Human suffering calls for an ethical approach to well-being, both individual and social. Educating the community about the ethics of well-being for sick individuals represents an opportunity to extend the concept of care as a shared responsibility. Mapping good practices to reflect on daily routines and to value professionals, volunteers, and institutions that work to embrace and reduce unnecessary pain is essential for creating a 'network of relief' that places the person at the center, despite illness, fostering an attentive and empathetic citizenship.
