Recent global crises have highlighted the need for a pedagogy capable of developing anticipatory and reflective skills to navigate the complexity of urban life. In this context, education for cultural heritage takes on a strategic role in shaping innovative forms of urban welfare, where the city becomes an educational space, fostering inclusion and active citizenship. The PACE project – Cultural Heritage and Educating Communities (PRIN 2022) investigates how heritage, understood in its material and immaterial dimensions, can serve as a resource for building supportive, inclusive, and dialogical communities. The participatory methodologies adopted place pedagogical and educational professions at the center, as they are called upon to promote processes of care, cultural enhancement, and social regeneration. Art and new technologies thus emerge as tools to strengthen the bond between people, places, and memories, nurturing an urban welfare based on dignity, relationships, and a shared future.
