The contribution explores the role of educational governance in fostering inclusive and community-based learning processes through the lens of informal education and local partnerships. Informal learning, grounded in experiential dynamics and proximity networks, emerges as a strategic ally in counteracting school dropout and promoting social inclusion. Within this framework, the educating community acts not only as a context but also as an active agent and enabling device for recognizing capabilities, supporting critical citizenship, and co-constructing knowledge. The paper draws on insights from the Caleidoscopio project, selected by Impresa Sociale Con i Bambini, which aims to initiate and strengthen a socio-educational network in the Bagnoli area (Naples). Through this case study, a programmatic vision is outlined to ensure continuity of shared educational practices - shared, situated, and sustainable - and to respond to territorial challenges through a common and participatory governance model.
